Don't wanna bring the mood down, but if they were over here I'd be seriously trying to get rid of them. Feral cats eat our beatutifull native birds. If they just ate the pigeons and other introduced stuff then fine, but they don't. Maybe it's different in the States because there's more urban areas thus more things to snack on besides birds.

Yea, I've got a friend from Australia and he's mentioned the feral cat problem there. It sounds pretty crazy. Most of the native animals here are a'plenty in urban areas. Mostly little birds, and they're all migrating away this time of year. Anything scarce is big enough to eat the cats. Worse thing strays do here is hunt squirrels, and those things are everywhere. I say better they end up in kitten bellies than smeared under my car tires. LOL
