in america to be "child friendly" They took the eating part out..the wolf locked the grandma in the closet and the wolf only wanted little red's treats. kinda anticlimatic but hey..thats what happens to books when changed for a rated G audience.

.....and here I grew up with both being eaten and the woodsman shooting the wolf and ending up haing a big wolf rub infront of the fireplace^^;....which is changed only to that the woodsman carries the dead wolf off....

really...american literary society or whoever thinks conflict is bad on children's development...for crying out loud, TV has alot of bad stuff..and thats to the point that there is hardly anything good on TV anymore.
