I've always been a really hesitant to post this piece; mostly due to a lot of negative connotations created by others surrounding it.
this is quite possibly, the very first piece of art I have ever commissioned during my time on the internet, and it's by the insanely skilled and talented Drak.
people who have been following my gallery for a great deal of time will recognize this guy- CenterLeft[left of center], my celestial, yield sign faced guardian of time and history/the physical remnants of the Calatonan god Azkin. it's probably one of the few, highly personal characters that I still frantically hold onto from the [five] universe. and one who I've generally deemed as "too cool for the internet". xD
ANYWAY, I've digressed too much.

I have no prior expectations of the character, other than vaguely remembering having seen the other art (in many of which the head-sign is in profile so not so obvious). So I've got totally no clue about any 'connotations'. I just see a lot of coiled/restrained energy in the figure's bunched muscles, the destruction/unmaking of the building behind it, vortex sky, flowers coming up from the ravaged land beneath the creature, and despite what has to be one helluva shockwave, the butterfly in the foreground, coming out towards the viewer.
There's a LOT that can be read into that, symbolically, or one can just look at the anatomy, the color-work, and the effects and overall critter-concept in image terms and go DAYUM.
