I only started the other day, but I’ve heard its a -completely- new game compared to when it first started (for the better by leaps and bounds). There were some massive updates to everything only a few days ago. But unless I am mistaken, yes you can change jobs whenever you like now ^^ I think the site has a massive list of all the new changes :)

I went looking and found the notes for patch 1.19 ovo they've changed TONS of stuff. It's almost crazy.
