Hahah~ it is sooo silly! Hearing this song again, I remember putting it in my old Neopets shop, which inspired by this song... I filled up with all these Weapons, even before I really knew where it was from, or what it was for!
Certainly love this little mix, and it reminded me that I have yet to watch tha' movie... which is sitting RIGHT here. mm... I believe this one was on the PSNetwork too... prolly. I know alot of people call this the most epic of the Final Fantasies, buuut... which number do you prefer? ...sorry sorry, if you have already answered this somewhere else...

Been playing piano for 20 years, have a degree in piano and tuba performance and theory. I am fully aware of what I am doing, thus I wrote it this way. I would not have released it had I not been proud of it. If your going to comment on music think from my perspective before you just toss out "advice or recommendations", its a far more polite way of discussing music. I make money playing exactly like this, so when you have passed me in time spent playing, my degree in music, etc.. Then you can address me like you did. I do not see anyone else talk to me like you did so I strongly ask you to grow up and be professional. That is all, no thank you, just do it. You won't go far ever with your current attitude, that is not a threat, its a promise.. Which if you had any talent no one would care because of your attitude. Bo one likes an elitist rpick, don't talk like one.
That is all, grow up.
That is all, grow up.
I'm sorry you feel that way. Obviously you have a different idea of the use of the sustain pedal to me and I was merely critiquing based on my own experience because the way you used the sustain pedal was a musical choice I would question. Your degree and years of experience are admirable but I think their purpose is to inform musical choice, not justify it. Given your accolades I still question your musical choice which to me did not seem as though it was made by someone of your background and experience, but it is your choice. You seem defensive but I didn't mean to upset you to that extent. I'm not sure what your perspective is but I'll assume you mean that you uploaded your performance here for the enjoyment of others and not for critical evaluation.
If it makes you feel better, I'm not commenting on this from an uninformed basis as I, too, have played piano for a significant number of years and also have a degree in music (with honours after studying composition for the first three years). Finally I offer my own performance of this piece which I have listened to many times and have performed it on a couple of occasions. You don't have to listen to it but I just wanted to show I am familiar with Those Who Fight too. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12015651/
You seem to be a big Final Fantasy fan and I am too, and I love listening to fan arrangements and interpretations which is how I found this to begin with. I listened to a couple of your other arrangements and I thought they were better quality than this one so sorry you were upset by my comments and good luck with your future arrangements.

I am not offended that you commented. I love comments and i do enjoy critique. You have no quarrel with me about commenting on my pieces. It is not that you said something, it is what and how you said it. After i said I am fully aware of the pedal and that it was fully intentional, you should have left it at that. But you did not and that is what got me livid. What you said holds some merit, but your word choice was very poor.
"Except it doesn't because all the previous notes muddy up the sound and that's most noticeable at a loud volume like at the beginning."
That is what you said, but what i read was
"Yeah but even though you wrote it that and know that you did your way, its still too much pedal"
Other than the fact your said it muddles the sound, which is a valid reason, i was aware of all of it. I do not post stuff i do not approve of. Accidents almost never get onto my page, i am a perfectionist. So of course I will defend my music, they are my children, my babies, i will fight for them. You are allowed to critique, but do so constructively. Once i said i was aware of the sounds i recorded, you should have accepted it at that and possibly responded a tad different. For example..
"Well your version is interesting, I am just worried that the notes are muddled. Check out my link.. blah blah blah. you get the idea
On this site i deal with little anally retentive asinine trolls, so everyone who used to comment on my songs before i delete them and ignore essentially just wrote "My version is better, your version sucks, you're gay, blah blah, i have no music knowledge but i like to spout out huge piles of crap out of my mouth so everyone has the illusion that i know what i am talking about but in reality i am jealous and I secretly hate my life and everything I say is retarded but if i keep talking people will agree with me right.... i mean if you lie enough it becomes true right?"
You probably deal with this too. So please, please understand that I take almost everything i hear/read seriously when it is about me or what i do or have done.
I do apologize for snapping but next time, please choose your words more carefully. If you think about it, starting off a conversation with "Except it doesn't" was not the brightest thing to do. I will never silence anyone until AFTER you speak, meaning, that i give everyone a chance to say something constructive... and if nothing was said constructive, your chance is gone and I then aim to silence and educate. I know typing words is not the same as an actual conversation face to face or one you that you can hear... but people read things differently. I am the worlds' most quiet person both in person and when i am in social settings/social media. I was raised to speak only when it is constructive, has a point, is valid in logic, or is a fact (its an Asian thing... although i am white.. raised in Japan).. so i take extreme care into what I say when i am happy, sad, mad, or just want to be funny. I am already kicking myself for spelling errors, grammar errors, etc. But now i am just repeating myself and beating a dead horse.
I am glad you have the same passion for Final Fantasy as I do, i am glad you show a passion like in do for the piano.. not enough people do anymore. So thank you for your critique. Have a good night and keep up your hard work. I have about 20 recordings of Final Fantasy pieces i have done and have yet to post, so heads up. I have yet to come across someone who has more music piano music than me in video games.
