Couldn't resist making my own pony.

This is Charcoal (named for his coloration). When he was a young foal, he would often sneak away from home in search of dragons. He had heard all about them, but sadly, he had never seen one for himself. He became determined to see one in the flesh, which caused him to be reprimanded more than once from his parents. They said it was foolhardy of him and outright dangerous. Even if they were right, he didn't care; he wanted to see a dragon even if he had to break every rule made.

It wasn't until one glorious day that his wish came true. His daily adventurous search began like any other: sneaking off to the mountains and wandering around the numerous caves. He had been systematically going through all of them, leaving no cave unexplored. As he was about to pass by one that he had already visited on another day, his legs stopped in their tracks. His mind kept telling him that he had already been there before and needed to keep going, but there was something else that told him to check again. Seemingly against his will, his legs casually trotted into the cave, and as he turned a corner, the sight that he had longed for his entire life came into view.

As his mouth hung open at the massive dragon in front of him, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. The creature was so beautiful, so powerful, so fantastically cool. He knew that dragons were dangerous, so as to keep from getting roasted or eaten, he escaped before he was noticed. With a huge smile on his face, he cantered back to his home, with a new cutie mark on his flank.

This was fun to create; might have to involve this little guy in future stuff.
