Another old school project, this one is from eleventh grade, so late 2000-early 2001. I woke up one morning for school, as usual taking my lazy time to get going. THEN I remembered the project that was due that day. After a frantic fifteen minutes or so at the computer, getting shouted at to get moving, this little piece popped out of the printer. As fate would have it, my teacher had neglected to tell us students that these works were being submitted to a young poets competition-thinger. Somehow, the judges must have been drunk or something, this ended up getting chosen as a national winner, with all of the winners getting published in a book. So, fifteen panicked minutes before school somehow ended up making me a published poet. Tell that to your mom next time she tells you to start projects early.
