As instructed, Warren went to the designated time and place specified in the letter. This was all that the letter had informed him of in fact. That morning it had arrived in an envelope on his windowsill without explanation, and without signature or return address. "12:00 AM. On the corner of Rouge and 99th." Just the thought of being involved in a real life mystery excited him. The decision to follow the letters trail was an easy one. At 11:59 PM, (it was always better to be early), Warren could see a figure approaching in the distance. Had the rabbit been more cautious, perhaps he would never have become entangled in a murder case. Perhaps he would realize it was incredibly dangerous to trust letters left on windowsills.
At 12:00 AM exactly however, it was too late for Warren to realize anything.
