For  redburr's contest.

Emotions this year, and I managed to get Optimism.
I started out another idea that was the usual "Depression, oh look, the world is colourful"-idea, but it didn't end up looking right, and I had to start over with an entirely new idea.

So, the idea fell on Lottery, or the born optimist waiting for their number to be pulled out of the hat, and that last numbers matching up, even if they have bought hundreds of tickets without the winning numbers on them, and even if the number being pulled is the last one, that last chance to actually win.

My sketchbook ended up being the victim of this, being abused during a conference, then splattered with left over coffee, before being even more abused by some glue and white cut-outs.
Otherwise it's your usual pen with coloured pencils and white pen for the white kitten paws.
A few hours of work, even more hours of worrying if I just screwed up something by choosing to do one thing over the other.
