Weeew, this one was also a very long and detailed work >w<
All the same, it's probably my new fav commission... I'm such a sucker for strong, colored light TTwTT Also, I did the firefly pattern myself, so I am temporarily infatuated with dragonflies... darn, they are cute >,<
And now, MINICONTEST:
The first person who gets in my stream (link in journal) and tells me what the kanji in both stalls means will get a free sketch of their character.
Only the first one to get both gets the prize, because I am mean like that >=3
Hints:
1. The half-hidden part of the second kanji on the first stall (from the left) is the same as the first kanji of the same stall.
2. The first one from the second stall is the letter "O" and the second which is almost completely hidden by the lamp is "tsuchi", the kanji for earth... even though it doesn't read as tsuchi in this word.
Well, have fun and good word hunting =D

the 1st post is really hard cos its several kanji combined to form words...I'm alsmost sure the 1st kanji, same as the lamp is hidinf is "ta". but the 2nd is combined with what it looks like "Shi" (4) and something else....and the last one that L with horns xp dont know what it is XP
Yep, this turned out as epically as I thought it would. :D Gorgeous lighting ftw. <3 You pulled it off rather nicely.
Also, I still love that dragon. ;A;
Though, if you don't mind my saying, the lighting on the lanterns themselves looks a little off. Lanterns have a main internal light source that gets diffused as it moves outwards, thus it'd be darker around the outer sides rather than brighter, like you portrayed. [Like This] It's just my nitpicking though. ;A; Still a fabulous piece nevertheless! I don't mean to offend you if I did, I just thought it would be worth mentioning for the future. <3

I had done them the correct way around, but they edges blurred with the surrounding stuff too much so I decided to just put the light to profile them instead xD

Oh okay. xD Yeah, I can see what you mean when I stop and look knowing that. The reds would blend a bit much. o.o I feel even worse for pointing it out now. ;A;

Nooooes! Critic is effing important and everyone here (including myself) are kinda scared of offering it, but I appreciate a lot!!!
I often am too close to my pigs to see the faults and problems in them, so I often get pointed things out. Yours was a right thing to point out, even though I didn't put it in practice, so plz don't refrain from commenting those kind of things iwi
