I can see the similarity but I find your work has a touch more chaos to it which I can certainly appreciate, though maybe that's just because his work has had more process and more layering to clean up the forms. I always like this kind of work more than a super-clean style anyways; some of my favourite drawings are from life drawing classes where you don't have time to nitpick over things, you just draw over them.
