Oh those are so nice, I think they are the largest speicies of moth in North America second to the Luna moth, another beauty in the moth world :P

I saw a Luna moth for the first time this summer! Unfortunately it was at a neighbors place and I couldn't get any good shots of it. Cloudy day too.

Aww shitty! They are almost rarer then the one you have in this picture. I think I have seen maybe two Luna moths in my 25 years by my parents' house.

The Polyphemus moth is quite common around here. I usually see at least four or five per summer. That however was the first time I've seen the Luna. I love these ones though, they're just so warm and fuzzy.
