May or may not have been inspired by  wielder's Star Wars shennanigans.
My love of creature design simply means that, when it comes to sci-fi, I tend to grow more attached to creatures than to characters. So enjoy an Avy Nexu, which was one of the creatures seen in Attack of The Clones (among other places of course, this was just the most awesome rendition B3).

Why is she in a desert? I'm not sure. She probably belongs to somebody in this universe as a pet of some sort... a very non-cooperative pet, but was transported away from her home in the forests of Cholganna as a result, and is none too pleased. Idk if she escapes or is freed by Wielder or someone in her pose, but we can figure that out when the time comes. I just wanted to vegetate and draw a cool beasty. I do love me some Nexus.

And I love that they make such impractical pets.
