It had been a cold, gray, overcast, miserable winter day, one of those days where it seemed like the sun would never shine. Little did I know, though, that this gloomy day would end with perhaps one of the most interesting things I had ever seen...this almost perfectly straight column of sunlight streaming down as the sun just barely starts poking out from behind the back edge of the retreating cloud cover. After such a miserable day, the sun did shine after all.
Given recent events, it cannot be denied that a lot of people are currently in a melancholy state of mind, myself included. Well, for what little it may be worth, I decided to upload this random photo I happened to take a while back, with the hope that it will provide those who see it...well, hope. As dark and depressing as life may get at time, things will get better. It may take time to get there, but things will get better. Never give up hope.
