Well I haven't been making very many, that's why! :P I love seeing animated icons on FA. Especially the subtle ones, where you miss the animation if you aren't paying attention.

I mostly do cell though. I don't like using software to produce -only for coloring and effects. Just need paper for motion

I would like to dabble in some traditional animation at some point, but I haven't found the time to do it yet. It's a shame too... I have a couple of really fantastic books on traditional frame-by-frame that I should be exploiting.

Just watch animated shorts or commercials and do frame by frame analysis. That's how I did it and my instructor compares my work to the work of Bambi

I wish I did! I'm really a newbie when it comes to animation... I guess the only advice I can offer is to start with one frame, and just alter copies of it, or trace it, otherwise it can turn out really inconsistent.
