It's the weirdest inversion of the "real world" I've ever seen! In the nonfurry world, it's typically straight people who dominate media and tend to be intolerant, but in furry it's sometimes gay males. So both universes suck, haha. :c

Ever gone into anime/video game fandoms? It's a bizarro world. In one fandom, the gay fics outnumbered the lesbian fics 70 times over and the straight fics maybe 20 times over. And the gay fics are written by women. It's like the Twilight Zone.

Oh gosh, I have been quite involved in those fandoms @w@ It's terrible! Especially *shudders* if you dare tread into the Naruto section.. I actually used to enjoy that anime, but then it started to suck because of three things, listed here in rising order of importance- people kept making fun of me for liking it, the show just got... less good, and THE YAOI FANGIRLS UGH GOD
