GAWD!!! Dat Spyro! Here's is a picture I have drawn, with all the Spyro's.. and Sparx's from the game of your Classic, Legend of Spyro trilogy, and Skylanders. Strong purple dragons are STRONG MRRRARH!! ffff *teehee Anyway.. Here I would like to say something... well we'll start from bottom to top. :meow:
Classic Spyro: Our childhood little cuddly cute and adorable dragon, with a her heart. He was a very lovely dragon and we will always love him, he's a PlayStation classic. :nod:s Good job! Even Sparx, oh the little dragonfly his right hand man, his best buddy, giving chances at life to live, until he poofs. D: but ya gotta love the little guy to.

LoS: A New Beginning/Eternal Night: Wow look at this? Is that Spyro!? Omg look at the change! I will admit I didn't like this Spyro at all, cuz of the way he looked, but soon I got use to him, Even for sparx too.

LoS: Dawn of the Dragon: FFfffffff Look at him even more, he looked like a doggy, look at that horrid anatomy! he looks slightly older, what happened? I didn't like this one either but also got use to it, Sparx maybe a bit of annoyance from anb to dotd, yes yes, but he also made me laugh. :3

Skylanders:Spyro's Adventure : DEAR GAWD WTF!!!! SPYRO WENT ALL TROLL ON US!! NUUUU!!!!..... Got use to him, and oh look there! Sparx!!! We thought he was lost, and also he has no hands now, and such beautiful freakin wings!:heart: >;U These two will be together for everrrr~~~
All in all, what it is, take a look - Spyro he's STILL a PURPLE dragon, he's still SMALL, he still wants to SAVE THE WORLD! And Sparx is still there with him and or in the game. If you ask me these are pretty much minor changes to Spyro in development, and I have seen way worse in other games than this, and gawd it aches me so. despite him looking like a gremlin, he's still Spyro and you CAN still see it, can you not? He is not gone - he is not dead, he's still a little purple heroic guy wanting to save what he can.

I'll admit even I bitched about the legend of spyro version...for a day and a half...then I got the game...played it, and I was like: not much difference between this game...and the other two games where he gets different element breath...then I fell inlove with a storyline which was INDEPTH no bashing my childhood either but the storyline in the first three classics were kinda...meh, Skylander's spyro...people let's look at it this way...each spyro is a different dimension of dragon realms...then we get the skylands, NOTHING ON SKYLANDS LOOKS NORMAL, we have hybrid dragons everywhere, of course spyro's not going to look the same! Cynderp looks derpy in skylanders, but she's still got the same awful sad story as she did in LoS, but look at that, spyro still saved her, like he did before...personality wise he'll NEVER change, apperance...we should deal with that, inner beauty my friends, inner beauty, as long as our purple hero remains the courageous self sacrificing badass little hero...we shouldn't care what his outside looks like
sadly the first three games were lackluster when it came to the indepth story that came along with the legend of spyro series, the first three, were beautiful and a fun childhood, of smashing badguys fun minigames, but lacked a beautiful story mature gamers truely love, and legend of spyro and skylanders brought that story, true skylanders goes back to kicking badguys and puzzles, but the backstories are still there and every character has a unique and sad backstory!

personally i REALLY like all spyro designs except for the troll-ish skylanders spyro. no idea what they were smoking when they made that... or when they desiced to gyve cynder boobs (dem jugs! :O )

I will always love Classic Spyro the best, because he was such a little douchebag XD He really was! When I replayed that whole series over again, he was such a lil prick in the first game, and kept that throughout the other two, but he did get a little nicer and sweeter...somewhat.
I actually quiet liked DotD Spyro look compared to ANB and EN
I will say you did Forget A Hero's Tail Spyro (which kinda DID got back to Classic a little bit, but not by much) and Enter the Dragonfly (that EtD was a HORRIBLE game that I will NEVER finish because of how terrible the game is as a whole)

That game seriously was bugged beyond all reason...I could even get past the first little bit of it. I was playing it for so long, and it took FOREVER to get to the next cut scene, which had absolutely no audio what-so-ever....so when that happened...I just shut it off, calmly took the game out of the system, placed it back and tossed the whole case across my room XD.
PLUS! I still want to know HOW Ripto and them came back....they all DIED in the second game XD

Though with Gnasty I think it'd make sense that Red brought him back...ripto comming back...just didn't make sense...they didn't even properly beta test enter the dragonfly, the graphics sucked, and the electric breath maze bullshit puzzles made me mad enough to throw my controller at the screen.
truth to be told, i really like the Skylanders Spyro because... i think he kinda looks badass. i already did like his more mature and hence badass look in Dawn of the Dragon but now... wow
i mean come on... he's a dragon... dragons are supposed to look a little intimidating, aren't they? :P

Heehee I still have a big plush classic Spyro ^_^ classic will always be my face, don't mind the middle two even though i never played their games (enter the dragonfly put me RIGHT OFF) but i've seen skylander merch...... SUPER TARDO .....geez.... this is why i HATE when a company sells their character/games to other companies to make........ Jakfinal frontier (not made by naughty dog) SUCKED... and that was my absolute FAVOURITE game series (Spyro was second)
I like the classic Spyro. But I kinda like the Legend of Spyro one the best of both forms. It looks more dragon-like and feel like it actual is. But my problem with that is he doesn't have to compare to the classic one. But it has one up over it, which he can fly. But Skylander one should stay hidden and not be seen. It doesn't look right and feels like it should be in some horror movie. But over the first three were better, neat, and cool looking.
To be honest, i like the LOS versions of Spyro better, to me he looked more like a dragon and less like a cheesy cartoon, and they put a bit a bit more realism in the game, i do admit i like classic Spyro too. The Skylander one on the other hand, he looks like a gremlin, i want to kill it with fire.
tbh I thought "Dawn of the Dragon" was ze end of spyro series D: I guess I was told wrong since theres Skylanders now o.o;...

Looking at this, I had completely forgotten that they changed his wings to match his body. I dunno, there was something about those bright golden/yellow wings that really made me love him in the beginning. He does look like a Gremlin, I still prefer the older versions of him but like you said... Spyro is still Spyro.
At least he didn't get huge knockers like Cynder did ;) Will you be doing one of these for her as well :O

Well I agree with you tho there is a few things I dislike about the Skylander design of Spyro xD
he have red eyes where the other 3 versions don't...
he have yellow claws there the other 3 versions have white...
and he have gold/purple wings where the other 3 versions have gold/red...
It is still minor changes but it gives a weird view on him as they changed the design of the character THAT much... tho I might get to like him sometime =3 only time will tell xD

Somebody may hate me for this, but I actually don't like Classic Spyro. Allthough I grew up with it, I love the game so much and etc, the design of Spyro just look so... Un-natural to me. e_o
The one that appeals to me the most, actually, is the DoTD onel Don't ask me why, I think it's because he looks a little older and that he doesn't have those scary wierd spikes. xD And he doesn't look so stumpy, chubby and small. e_o

Fantastic work here. Nice details and composition. I really like how you do the shading, colors and the background. Especially the background, I can see the concept behind them, each of the part refer to each Spyro universe as I can see. I say clever, just very clever. I will always love classic Spyro design, but I do agree with you that Skylander Spyro is still Spyro. My personal opinion is, if he has a longer nose with his original eye colors, he would be better I guess. I think they re-design him to make him fit with all the Skylander designs.
i like the legende of spyro spyro the most, before that they are too childish for my taste, but can't blame them, spyro IS an child game. and after that, well i don't like the spyro with the toys and the portal, i probly would buy spyro and cinder and then play it wor a few hours not really worth the money for me.

I like then all <3!!! Only I need to get used to that Skylanders Spyro... First time I saw it I was like... OH GOD NO!!! Who hit spyro with a man hole cover in his face... DAMN YOU ACTIVISION!! but now seeing your comics... I begin to get font of him. As most of the Skylanders persona's.
I like the first "three" in the drawing ... the skylanders no XD.
outside of that, very much the drawing, to draw each one that has a "style" destinto in appearance, has its difficulty. Besides that the "increase of details" as the image goes up, it was also good, I love eld ibujo, the catch is the spyro of "Toys For Bob", well XD.
