Oh - my - goddess. I was blown away by this! This came out better than I anticipated! It really does add to the story. How I wish I could afford to get you to do a comic from the story. But still, it really helps me visualize the story even better now.

For ones not in 'the know' Kantuck is a hindvalian; a gene engineered cervine. She's sapient, (of course) and in the 31th century, Humans and zomorphs (the term for 'furries') do date or even marry. But the societal feeling on that is somewhat like it was in the 60s or so with Caucasians and Africans in the U.S.

These two are on Mimas, which is why Saturn is in the background.

I think the word you're looking for is "sentient."

"Sapient" means wise or learned; not that she isn't. But it doesn't connote self-awareness or (I assume) human-like intelligence.

But you need a decent scanner, Or at least a way to align the picture and the camera properly...

I would find this one extremely difficult to scan, even if I had a scanner. It's big. About 14 x 20. And it is a commission, so it's not really my place to "share it with the world". In fact, there is a chance that all my commission pieces will eventually be taken down, so that the owners will have exclusive rights to them. The only reason I post them here is so that the owners can follow my progress.
