Another commish for Mr.
drxeno - I suppose I don't have to introduce him ;)
This time his Xenomorph Dash is accompanied by Dr. Akai ->
kenoshi , some jackal-esque (mad) scientist. In the desert. AT NIGHT. DUN DUN DUUUUUUN!~~~
--
Well no, no rapage this time, just the end of some experiment of sorts :P
They're on the same side, though I suppose the backstory is better told by the two guys, not me. :B
Sufficient to say that both characters were very challenging as per usual x]
Same goes for the pic in total, really, though I enjoyed working on it.
They're on some planetoid with a different atmospheric composition + weaker illumination due to that sun being a red dwarf, so this is as bright as it gets there :0
ARTIST'S INTERPRETATION for those of you who are about to claim they have seen IN PERSON what a red dwarf does @N@/ *shakes fist* :P
Done in Sai as usual!
ENJOY!

A very nice job, Mr. Todex. Like LINCARD said, your clean stuff is sometimes some of your greatest stuff. This looks very good, very atmospheric. I wouldn't really think of it as a 'mistake' per se considering it's quite typical of your style, but I think that some of the shading on the clouds, where they start to darken, looks a little hard. And the clouds (namely the very top left one) look a little solid.
Really, that's the only thing, and it's not much. Everything else looks really amazing. Especially DrXeno's jackal friend there, and your interpretation of the red dwarf's lighting effects. Ever played the original Mass Effect game at all? Where you can visit many of the planets, some of them with red suns? The environements were fantastic in that game, and I think this looks like something akin to what I'd see in that.

Ignoring the time I need to invest into the planning and creating the lineart which takes LONG, I'll just focus onto the shading aspects to give you an idea. One day background shading, one day shadowing these two characters, one more day for all the lights :] that + the pre-planning sums up to.... LONG XD
Awesome pic!! I LOVE aliens and you did an amazing job on him!!

I think you are looking at Bolrog from Lord of the Rings:

As long as there's enough xeno's and blood.
oh and this http://rule34-images.paheal.net/_im.....ph%20alien.jpg
If that was real life I'd be complete

evil-scientist jackal & evil alien-xenomorph being promoted by equally evil (and pervert) evil-scientist shark!
"it's an EVIL scientist conspiration my friend! this is all part of a BIGGER plan! Darth Vader! Call reapers, aliens, krogans and predators (insert other bad-ass sci-fi people here) so we can wage war to all of the good in the galaxy!"
i just loved the picture, but the clouds confused me for a second (i thought they were trees at thumb-nail). XD
anyway, awesome piece, people should comission more clean stuff, i'm eager to see you making action poses again XD (like that other submission of yours "gracefull fire", man, that is one of your clean stuff that takes my breath D:)

Guh. Just...damn sexy, and beautifully coloured! Your Xeno design is a nice cross between the humanoid kind in the first two movies, and the feral kind in the last one. Very sweet. The jackal is just plain awesome in the bodysuit. It's not often I like plantigrades, but this is so well drawn it makes me think of changing my mind. ;)
Great work! I can't wait to see what you do next!

He really did an awesome job on both characters. Dash's details and posture really bring him to life, certainly one of the better Xeno designs I've seen. And I am especially pleased at how well he did on mine. He is naked, by the way....weird alien anatomy. And yes, he does draw plantigrade feet very well. Makes them look downright sexy.
How did I miss this for half a week?
I have to applaud you, on just how gorgeous the environment here. Desert bathed in eternal twilight is the kind of beauty not often seen, which really is quite a shame.
And as far as light and shading effects, you've attained perfection. I could study this for weeks, and not come up with so much as a single suggestion.
Out of curiosity, just how long have you been grooming your talent? As in, when you first started seriously pursuing it as a regular hobby/interest.
