I was inspired by Riskyy's picture - http://denizen-v1.furaffinity.net/v...../#cid:48135076. I really liked the aesthetic quality and colour contrast; in my own way, I wanted to do something a little more gritty. Something that you might find if you turned a torch towards it, or something a sentry robot might find if it's sent in somewhere - hence the screen flicker bands.
I liked the latter idea more and went for it :)
Overall, I wanted to achieve something that potentially looked realistic in some way, and let me practice drawing dragons a bit.
