Voyager at least had a decent story through the entire series.
Generations, yes, it's amazing and timeless, and it doesn't have as many annoying characters. But at least Voyager has story arcs you can follow. All Generations had as a constant was Q, the Borg, and a bald alien that had a fascination for a child.
And, Enterprise was just a waste of time >3>;

My dad was a Trekkie and still probably is, so of course I naturally know it's from "Star Trek Voyager" x3
In fact he named an old progressive rock band he was in years ago after the numbers on the Starship Enterprise

Fuck yes wonderful picture and hilarious quote. I was looking at this in someone else's favorites and chuckled when I saw a start trek uniform, but *had* to click it and see the full view when I saw what the quote was.

I loved how Janeway's hair doubled as a sort of health meter for the ship. You could tune in at the middle of an episode, and immediately know how they're doing just by looking at her hair. If her bun was still neat and tidy, then everything's fine, but the more frazzled it is, the more trouble they're in.

I didn't like Voyager. TNG was the best, DS9 was my second favorite, TOS was good in a different way. I like how in the original series they relied on story and camera effects over special effects. Balance of Terror for example.
And Enterprise, it had potential, but then they fucked it with that Temporal Cold War bullshit. There were some good episodes. One of the biggest things that irks me is that the Captain is always putting himself in extremely risky situations. Like if there is a firefight on the ship he abandons the bridge and grabs a phaser. wtf? Fucking Rick Burman.
And Enterprise, it had potential, but then they fucked it with that Temporal Cold War bullshit. There were some good episodes. One of the biggest things that irks me is that the Captain is always putting himself in extremely risky situations. Totally with you on the Temporal Cold War plot. I gave Enterprise a second chance at the advice of a friend and came in on some of those episodes before shaking my head sadly and walking away from the series again. I really need to force myself to watch it through sometime, especially now that it's all tidily on Netflix, but ugh, what I saw of that plotline just made me cringe so much.
I would say that the best bet is to stay with season four. Season three has a season long story arc but the asinine things that I listed earlier happen.
Four is also when they knew they were going to be canceled so they decided to wrap up a few loose ends and make some interesting episodes. My favorite being the mirror episode.
