The bungee corded gas can is a good addition.
I actually built a small jet engine once... Took the motor off an RC car and left the steering servo's. THEN I DROVE IT LIKE I STOLE IT. 'Twas awesome. You just need an airbrush, a can of compressed air (The good kind), some low density fuel, a long sturdy metal tube, and a spark plug or two.
