
yes, that's right. that's my pet slug. shi's a big gastropod, I've seen hir streeeetched out to about 7 inches.
shi has a healthy diet of old carrots, mostly. sometimes old broccoli, I just give hir my "compost" after all, slugs are saprophites anyway.

they are ammusing, and ridiculously easy to take care of. I use a wet papertowel for a substrate, it helps keep the ventilated sweaterbox moist. I change the food and the bedding every couple of weeks. they're slugs. they don't care if the carrots are less than prisine...hell, they prolly think of mold as an extra snack!

I"m planning on setting up a few, I live in seattle area, so I"m trying to see if I can't catch a banana slug...as well as just have fun with a beer trap. the thing is...slugs will drown...so it's gotta be a trap they can't get out of, like a minnow trap, maybe.
