The person who was supposed to draw Aenigmatista's character for last month's fantasy exchange was late turning in their assignment so he was put on the adoption list. I decided to pick up the adoption as my good deed of the month.

The person who was supposed to draw for him last month is saying that the work would be done soon... but since I already had this started and really liked it, I decided to finish it anyways. :p

It's his elf character Lyn'Nen. The theme for last month was music any lyrics. One of the songs on the list was a song about a man being taken by an executioner. The song was not in English or French (It was in Ukranian... I think?), so I couldn't understand the lyrics or even find a translation for them, so I went my the mood of the song.

I love music/lyric themes since I do get inspired listening to music while I draw and they give me an opportunity to work with symbolism. There is a lot of symbolism in this piece, but I'll leave it up to the viewer to make their own interpretation.

I hope you don't mind, Aenigmatista... I did take some artistic liberties with the clothes.

I was playing with different lighting and coloring effects per suggestion of Fable. This really is outside of my comfort zone, but I think if I keep at it I will be able to do some interesting things with it.
