I really love this one! The pose and the colors are gorgeous! You've really improved so much, it's quite amazing to look at your progress over the months that I've been watching you. I'm really glad that you've enjoyed working on the last few pieces you've done too, especially after you said you weren't really enjoying doing art so much. But yeah, this is lovely! You know, he originally had stubby legs, though it proved to be more a detriment to the character. THOUGH IT WAS REALLY CUTE AND FUNNY.

XD Yeah, that's what I like about corgis. I dunno why, I just feel like it's kind of odd to have normal sized limbs on an anthro corgi. That's just my thing though. ^^'

my god...you involved two of my favorite things, Corgi's ad Steampunk....I LOVE IT. Makes me want to have a secondary Character just like that!

I'm really... missing the 'steampunk' on this one. Just adding goggles doesn't make something Steampunk. No copper, no gears, no unusual contraptions, boilers, nothing. Not even a top hat.
Definitely cute art... but also not steampunk.

I don't want to sound all defensive, buuuut~

Not every Steampunk character has these sort of things. This is including bowlers/tophats.

Also, this character comes from a rather defined setting, which is Steampunk, but with a particular flavor to it.

So, no, you're not going to see the things you would commonly see from other Steampunk settings.

I think you are not understanding what I am trying to convey. Steampunk itself is more of a "blanket" term. Are you familiar with Warmachine? It is a popular table-top game, labeled as "Steampunk", yet there is not a single to top hat to be found, and is a far cry from any Victorian setting.

Also, this picture is of just a single character. It hardly gives insight into the actual setting that they are a part of.

I suppose what I am saying, is that your outlook on Steampunk, is dangerously narrow, coupled with the fact that you know very little of the character in question.

In the future, I wouldn't be as quick to judge something, without really looking into it first~
