Introducing: Gadden Pekler [Concepts] (Art by Taklay Yankovi
I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but I've always liked gungans. This here is the result of that fondness.
Gadden Pekler was taken from Naboo when he was very young to work as a slave. An as-of-yet-named Naboo royal guardsman took it upon himself and others to rescue these enslaved gungans, but at the cost of his life. Gadden wears a vest made of this guardsman's uniform as a personal reminder.
He now works in his middle-aged life as a small-time trader, but this is merely a disguise as his true role of a drug trafficker. Gadden flies all manner of illegal substances across the galaxy, as well as the one responsible for co-creating "pips" or "micro-pips," a sort of miniature series of patches used similarly to acupuncture in order to bring various drugs into the body.
Among those freed from slavery is his brother (also currently unnamed) who maintains a submissive and slave-like demeanor, much to his disapproval. Despite his low-life lifestyle, Gadden tends to follow a firm moral compass - or at least when he's not itching for a fix.
