A bit of practice with Paint Tool SAI. hot damn, that's a clever program. i like this painterly business it can do. I threw down the colors and shading (a mix of Brush and Marker tools), then went back with the Marker tool to put some light linework in.

anyway, I really want to open a small handful of slots for Dia de Los Muertos themed portraits in this style, instead of doing "traditional" Halloween things. My first victim volunteer was Syl.

I want to get at least one more example together to try and lock down how long it takes me to do this. I think this one took way too long, but then again it's the first one and I had to feel through things. Shouldn't be quite so long with the next one.
