This is Gizmo, the greatest and most intelligent (can't you tell by the glasses, lol) dog I've ever known. He was really independent, yet was a quick learner.
Gizmo had some pretty quirky habits as well, he liked to suck on pillows rather than tear them up, his favorite chewing toy of choice were empty toilet paper rolls, and he loved watching television with his family. His favorite movies were all Lassie movies, whenever Lassie was on he would light up in a way he never seemed to do when other dogs were on television.
Gizmo was also kind of famous, both he and my sister learned canine freestyle (a kind of competitive dog sport where dog and owner perform a dance routine), and went on to become one of the best in my country. He's appeared in a few books and magazines, as well as briefly on television.

Sadly Gizmo died several years ago, but I will always remember him fondly.
You know how its said that the dog is man's best friend? Well, to me he was more than that, he was my non-human brother.
