What do they eat?

Vegetables, fruits, leaf litter, tree bark, fungus, dirt, so on so forth. They rather their food having sat there for a day or two.

Oh cool! Forest dweller thingies! I used to find lots of turtles in the woods when I built fences for a living. That was fun! Saw one of them googleplex-a-pedes once, it was pretty big.

Turtles are pretty cool. We had one in a big enclosure when I was growing up. When we got him, he was 22 years old and he lived for another 10 with us.

I love millipedes, but I'd never own a centipede, too risky.

Impressive. So you definately have a male. We know Jeep is a male and we want to try to find a few females. What size enclosure do you have Mr. Nibbly in? Jeep is in a 20g long tank.

Mine barely meets the requirement of how big their tank should be... so I would definitely have to get a bigger one first. I'd love to find a female also, I actually wanted to breed them after entomology school, they're such wonderful pets more people should know about :)

They don't need a HUGE home, just enough for them to move around comfortably. More people should definately know about millipedes, they are pretty awesome little guys. Have you seen all of the different kinds? I want a redleg and rainbow as soon as I see them at a show.

I am getting my godchild a few yellow spotted flat millipedes. I seen a few of those at a reptile expo and they are really neat.
