Oh shit! How'd you get C-DIFF? Antibiotic treatments? Yeah nausea and nastiness is unfortunately a common side effect of any -azole class drugs (metronidazole, fluconazole, etc.) especially if combined in any quantity with alcohol (I've heard anecdotal reports that even mouthwash can make it happen :\).
Yeah I know C-DIFF well: I see a few cases of it every six months or so. Actually my mentor got it years back and it messed him up good (he's okay now though). It's why I always tell people on antibiotic treatments to keep their hands clean and eat yogurt to competitively exclude microbes like C-DIFF from colonizing. ...as for the rest I just bleach the ever lovin' shit outta everything a C-DIFF patient touches XP
Get well soon dude and hope you feel better!

I just happened to see this today: http://vitals.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2.....iff-infections although I feel as if I'm just destroying Diezl's professional image with my sensationalistic links.
"Professional Image"? Hah! Not in this place :P But yeah I've seen reports of this therapy before. It works by a principle called "competitive exclusion" whereby non-pathogenic microbes colonize the intestine and essentially use up all the available resources so that pathogenic microbes cannot survive. The above method is certainly the most radical approach but in some cases it may be the best treatment option. Generally though, a few weeks of metronidazole + hydration, rest, and proper diet is all that's needed.
