I must ask...what is it with the non-round prices?

Probably to factor in transaction fees. That is my best guess, at least. It's something I have been wanting to do, too, for Paypal's fee.

The problem with higher prices is that the artist would get fewer commissioners (Gordon!). Fewere commissioners, less money. Most people view less money == bad.

At the same time if you have lower prices for something you work hard on, it ends up like
I dunno I've run into this problem and just the less money you charge for something that you put effort and time into, the less motivated you feel to do it etc etc
some artists might feel differently but still
(and for this quality this particular artist gives, I'd happily pay more than they ask for anything that is here, especially if I had the money too. I'd feel legit bad paying as little as they charge)
