Doctor Ivo Robotnik, once tried to capture Sonic with a couple of robot, promising a good payment in return, later on, wished to conquer the world with an army of robots, even turning normal animals and Sonic's friends into robots. After long studies, it was finally able a machine that would do the contrary. Scratch was the first to feel the total changing into a real being with science. And here its looks as a true animal.
