Buck appears to be looking for a new suit in Sutton & Son's store and is trying it on with the assistance of Alice, the rather cute bunny.
This one was more adventurous than usual. I wanted to make an effort with the store background enough for it to work properly. The mirror reflection is obviously slightly over to the right in order to give the effect I wanted.
I've been told Alice is rather cute. She was created on the spot, based on Old English Rabbit markings, which I thought would be cute since I am English myself. Everything in the image was handmade, even the sign on the desk which took research to find fonts of the right time period, as well as making sure the display Singer machines at the back were from the 1920-1930s. The mannequin at the front is also of the same time period apparently, so I put that in too. I wanted this to be a store that featured history of the company and had some character.
You may recognize one of the other ladies in the piece :) doesn't she look cute in her uniform?
Thank you so much to
BuckJohnson for his incredible patience and understanding, as well as his support over the last 2 years.

Thank you! It took so many hours e.e; and nearly killed my computer at the same time with 90 layers lol XD And yeah the mannequin was so cute i had to draw it in. They're very cool. I like random things like that, I love how someone invented that to expand and contract to suit measurements of different people X3
I am thinking I might have to draw more of Alice huh? :3

DAYUM GUUURRL!
Hahaha XD And thanks. I put lots into it. I am glad it looks ok enough. I could have gone even further but I might never stop :s!
And seriously I am one of the least patient people ever. I don't know how the hell I did this lol sheer determination I bet.

I dont know if the title was a reference or not, but it instantly reminded me of the old sketch from the English sketch programme called the fast show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlIE.....eature=related
Wonderfully done peice of work I might add. :)

I am guessing Sutton and Son's is a well known tailor in England? The closest thing I can think here stateside is The Men's Wearhouse.
I can't see this other lady you refer to, where is she? She does look cute I admit, and her bewbs have increased yet again! Very nice work you put into the reflection of the window and the slight blurryness. Also the marking on Alice's face; so much detail all over the OHSHITMARININTHEMIRROR!
You outdid yourself this time Lily, you should be proud of yourself.
Though it is probably my tired eyes but the way Buck's head is positioned...I'm having visions of the Jagermeister and/or Glenfiddich label.

Actually totally made it up for the purpose of this commission. I wanted to give it a character so I could put some life in to the store. Lots of old business have father/son partnerships since most people stayed in the family business back then. So I figured it'd be cute and fitting.
lol XD Marin wasn't planned for the mirror until the end actually. I pretty much winged it with the background. I thought it'd be cute to put Marin in there. I figure she might suit working for a smart place like a tailor's. She's so non-girly that it might even be cute to have connections with something like that. Who'd have thunk it? Also: Marin in a uniform? YES PLEASE.
Thanks a lot :3 really appreciate the comemnts.
And I have no idea what Jagermeister brand actually looks like D: So it was unintended XD I've only had it once in a club too.

:o sweetie, you've outdone yourself yet again! this is amazing! I love every little detail, and the fact you did everything by hand rather than just making use of actual images (like for the sewing machines).... wow, just wow. you really should feel proud about this image as it is absolutely perfect! good job!
I had to look for refs a lot on google. But yeah I inked all of it myself after finding stuff to ref from so I got it all right e.e; I usually don't like to use images or photos, and often have made brushes for certain commissions. I just want it all to be my own work as much as possible. :3
Thank you so much ^^;; I guess I should be proud.

Wow e.e thank you so much for saying all of that. I was feeling a bit worried about posting it up, I felt maybe I should have done more. But everyone has been so enthusiastic about it so I am honestly shocked myself right now seeing all of the positive feedback. Thank you for helping me to feel better about the image and for appreciating the work that went in to it <3
Wow this looks really great Lily. =D Just look at everything you put into the background. Just wow. The reflection of Marin is very nice and she does look good in her uniform. All the suits look great and those sewing machines up on the shelf are nice too. Its nice how you can see the bunny's spots through her stalkings too. Everything looks great. Excellent work hun. =3
Worried about posting this up!? you are kidding right? this pic is awesome (hang a sec *goes back up to look at it again*) the singer sewing machines, are the actual pictures? because if they are not they are too damn good looking! Kudos for this one to you Lily.
Hmm.. such cute attendants, and good looking suits, i guess i'll pay a visit to this store.

Everything was hand drawn, with photo references for the patterns on the sewing machine on the left. I dug out a lot of images and read some text for all the things I wanted to add so that I got the time period roughly right and tied together XD way more work than probably necessary but I like to be correct as possible.
:3 Thank you so much! I am really happy that people like this so much since I worked so hard on it.

Well it's a button up shirt... so that helps but it's amusing to think that way XD I always wonder how furry logic works... tails come out of random clothing and like you say... antlers. lol The girl in the mirror is my fox girl Marin :3 If you like her she appears a lot in my gallery. She is very popular for some reason!
Do you have a wife sir? Does she want it sir? OOH suits you sir. Is she pale sir, doe eyed sir, Suits you sir! Like a frightened deer in a woodland glade sir, cornered by the hounds. OOH suits you, suits you sir. Does she make this sort of noise sir? Ah. Does she look over her shoulder at you sir, like this? Ah. Suits you sir
