That is awesome! :D I had some semi-ideas for stories that could be associated with it.. but couldn't come up with anything particularly coherent.

Sometimes if you just throw stuff out, it sort of self-assembles . . . writing is weird that way. Anyways, it's a lovely, complex and symbolic-looking piece, which always seems to suggest stories.

I don't know, but something about these birds is different, compared to your usual style .. these exo-beaks and the red gems don't melt into the character like your character features usually do. They look grafted. The unicorn is perfect though!

Beautiful! What an eerie and surreal looking piece. Well done on this. I love the atmosphere and mood. Curiously, are the birds any sort of specific characters? For some reason, they remind me of guardians or keepers.

They weren't anything particular really, beyond random imagery that came into my head a while back. They'd probably just fly around a desolate world staring ominously at things.

Very surreal, love the painted dead sun above it all too. There's an overall faded quality about it that gives it a mythical aura, yet makes it all the more dead inside like, well, a unicorn's skeleton.

Most definitely has a eerie feel to it. The look of the birds is intriguing almost as intriguing as the creature that has become the horn of the unicorn as well as its hair/flesh. Its almost as if the creature did not have a defined shape and it uses the skeleton of the horse to be the direction for that shape in a harmonious way.
