Oh hey I drew ferals! A pretty pair of wolves, a Gray Timber and a Red Wolf, happy to see each other. Though the male seems to be a little surprised! But happy of course! :D
Coloring took way, wayyy longer than I expected, and I worked on it daily for about a week. Goes to show I'm really used to doing aceo-sized watercolors, but bigger ones boggle my mind a little! Ha! pretty much 100% watercolor, with a tiny bit of white ink for the fur. I uhh, didn't know how to do a shadow under them, or detail the leaves. Forgive that. My art is more whimsy than realistic, I wasn't going for full realism!
Always a pleasure to draw for, this is for

I have next to no experience with watercolors, so take this with a grain of salt, but wouldn't applying a very watered down darker color to the leaves under them work to create a simple shadow effect, or would it make the other colors bleed? The piece is beautiful as is, but adding shadows would definitely make the characters feel more like they are a part of the scenery. The leaves themselves aren't really an important part of the composition and I think it's entirely appropriate that they are merely hinted at rather than being rendered in excruciating detail. C:
A dark red-brown seems to work best for the shadows with this color palette, and I hope you don't mind that I took the liberty of applying a quick and dirty test shadow in Potatoshop to demonstrate. I'll delete it once you've seen it. http://imgur.com/v6u7n
(and in case there's any doubt, I really do like this piece! I hope you're down with critique <3)

It's weird because I sorta started to try to make it darker but watercolors love love love bleeding into each other even when dry. I guess I was afraid to try any more after the bit by the green shrub thing became blotchy. I don't mind critique though, so no worries there! As long as it's helpful and it is! :) I can certainly learn from this, There's gotta be a way to layer it somehow, auughh painting! XD haha!
Thanks so much for the comment! I do appreciate it!
