Hrm, every young character I've seen you draw has that very general boyish look and in this case as well as with Harvestman and Scapegrace it doesn't make sense- Their frame has an almost completely standardized look with no particular quirks and their faces all seem very manufactured. Compared to all the unique features you come up with for the adult characters it seems a considerable waste of a design to have such textbook youth faces and builds.
Hmmm, admittedly, middle Berguv could use some wider shoulders. (I pretty much made those young forms on spot, so they definitely need some tweaking.)
If you mean that the characters look cookiecuttery, could you offer advice regarding how to make child-like proportions on different characters? I mean, damn, different characters mature differently. Also idk about Harvestman and Scapegrace, considering they are heavily cartoonish and simplistic arachnid people ... with character designs as simple as that (one dude looks like a gumdrop on a jellybean, the other looks like a skull on two triangles), I just made them softer and rounder and gave them different proportions so their child stages wouldn't look like midget versions of their adult selves (which I hope they don't).
I guess it's more of a bad habit and lack of putting thought in child designs than a conscious thing.

I strongly recommend using 'hinge features' from adult forms to determine parts of their child-like face- using Berguv as an example to begin with- His jawline is obviously his most defining feature and even at his youngest he would have a notably more defined jawline than the 'anime child'. As for Scapegrace I would say that long and stretched are most suiting to his features- He would be the bean sprout type. For harvestman I'd say that his head doesn't seem wide enough in his younger form as it doesn't seem like fat is the only thing that makes his head wide across. I say these things as a rival, and considering you to be a worthy rival because of your range in adult features it seems unreasonable to expect any less of your younger form characters when you choose to draw them. Lastly, I invite you to challenge my methods as well and I would find it more respectful if you did than if you were to simply let it go.
Thanks for the input.
However, my self-improvement is no-one else's business but mine (except when it comes to unbiased, objective feedback on the matter. I don't mind no sugar-coating nor critique sandwiches but copping an attitude serves to piss me off), so I'll try to improve on these areas but not to humour you.

There is a tactful, constructive way to suggest improvements to an artist's work (if the artist should even want that, many times they don't), and then there is a rude, tactless way. I suggest refraining from voicing your opinion on other artist's work until you learn how to do the former. Because you are basically just trolling.
