i thoght partly that it was because she ws skipping work, this was her sbconcious saying 'dont do that'

Oh, this is getting even more interesting. How maybe Gem's subconcious knew that this was in fact a dream that was going to eefect her badly and instructed Dream-Zeezee to take action. This could also explain how the beeping toy coresponded with her alarm clock, maybe her sub-conscious mind was actually keeping perfect time with the real world and time the alarm to fit with the beeping toy perfectly. Just a thought...or 3.
As I said, "Some secerets are better left buried.". However, I think she's stumbled onto something that she cannot ignore. Well, personally I'd personally investigate this different world or push Zeezee to tell me whats going on. It seems to me that this is not entirely fictional. Whether or not her sub concious is creating this new happy world, it looks like she needs to come to terms with her past. The world during the day I think is much closer to the reality of her past than the daycare world. She's far to submersed now and clearly she NEEDS THIS because otherwise she wouldn't have these dreams. My take mixed with the epiphany that JoshE had xD
My first thought after reading this was--He's surprised to see her there because she's only around as long as she's sleeping, and she's supposed to be at work around this time of day.
Being able to wake her up with a slap though? I'm fascinated to see how this goes about in the 'awake' realm.
...Come to think of it, she's only awake as long as she's sleeping as a baby..That means Zeez totally KNOCKED HER BLOCK OFF~ OHKO! >xD

I dun think i've ever been slapped out of a dream... though i did at one point convince myself that I wasn't in a dream when I was -.- pissed me off when i woke up -.-
anyways :o i dunno if this is a dream... it doesn't really seem like one anymore >.> dreams don't just continue from where they left off (under normal circumstances.... I've had multiple repeat dreams but only one continuation dream :o) but since everyone seems to know this is a dream... gemma should have full control over what happens... if it's her dream.
As I said... I don't think its a dream... its like an alternate reality that ... is set like 12 hours apart from gem's world; at day gem's world its night in the dream world... and at night the dream world is a dark and evil place.
Like the boogeyman rules at night but has no power at day; everything he's done is undone by the sun, and redone by the moon :o
And the fact that you can't feel pain in dreams... a slap like that wouldnt wake her up.... unless she felt it in which case it isn't a dream.... o:
