It was nice to draw some unique characters, and it was good practice for hairstyles c:
I know I was requested to draw a character with wet hair, and I didn't realize it until I was done with the sketch... I'm sorry!

Oh, man, my mortal enemy is the angry expression. It's a shame, because Joly uses it a lot, but his default expression is a bored look. I guess I can slide by, won't stop me from trying to draw angry expressions anyway XD

I like drawing angry expressions D:< I'm not sure if I pull it off exactly, but I still like to try. Sad expressions kill me. I just can't get it right.

Hmmmm, interesting.

For me, the problem is the distortion of the face. I just know I need to do more facial studies, though. Practice, practice!

Practice is a necessary evil. I've always had trouble with positioning on the mouth. It always looks fake. But all these looks great.

That's how I am. Some stuff just isn't good enough for the rest of the world to see. I really need to start practicing drawing people.

Ah, people... I've tried to draw at least one a day... but school has gotten in the way. I'll be sure to draw some over the weekend in between breaks.

That's a good idea, drawing them once a day. Do you draw details or just sketches to get the basics?

I do somewhat both. I do nude sketches form photos out of an anatomy book (in the part I'm in, it's mostly nude models). I know I want to do eye studies, along with hands, because those are my problem areas.

I should find an anatomy book. Eye studies sound like fun though, and hands are hard to draw. We used to have to draw our own in art classes. I still do occasionally, just to remember how to do it.

I haven't had an art class in awhile. The only benefit I got form that was some color theory and experimenting in new mediums. Which I didn't mind at all, lol.

I haven't had an art class in ages either. But they did teach me how to draw hands and to use charcoal. Other than that I didn't learn to much. I wish I had taken that Color class though.

Figure drawing would ne interesting, but I was kind of interested in the portrait class. I think they offer a digital animation class too, but that one is really expensive. Maybe I should take Painting II.

Lol, thank you! Especially about the eyes, I'm obsessive over trying to make each character look different, and the eyes are usually good to tweak to achieve that!

This was nice practice for expressions, and I need all the practice I can get, naturally XD

Welcome! I always thought the same way with eyes, because to me you can't truly identify someones face without seeing their eyes. I guess that's why people wear sun glasses when you don't want to be caught or something like that xD.

You're doing well though :D. Are you planning on doing more of these free headshots?
