To those of you who haven't heard/don't play WoW... Blizzard has announced the next expansion to World of Warcraft entitled "Mists of Pandaria".
Upon seeing this I geeked out so hard that I had a headache the rest of the night. I have been waiting for this since Frozen Throne back in the Warcraft 3 days. Martial artist anthromorphic pandas who have an oriental culture. FUCK YEAH! PANDAREN! 8D
Yep, Blizzard is making playable pandaren and, in a move that I'm rather pleased with, they're the first -neutral- race in WoW. At the end of their starting area you decide whether to have your panda join the Horde or the Alliance.
It makes sense from a story point of view. The pandaren are isolationist and have no reason to like the horde over the alliance or vice versa so allegance is decided on a one to one basis.
It also makes sense from a gameplay point of view because I'm sick of hearing about the fanboys and fangirls whining that "The other side got the cool ones!" (See: worgen).
So yah, good job Blizz, you officially got me interested again. :D
