My first rifle was a .22 bolt action. I learned to shoot on it. Not as stylish as your Henry though.

Cheap to shoot, no recoil to speak of, accurate, and a lot of fun! What's not to love?

Nice gun! I have a .45-70 Gov't marlin 1897 six shot lever action rifle myself. I'm pretty tall so .22s were always a little too small for me, At least pistol wise

I have big hands and long fingers, .22 pistols just never really felt right.

It's okay. They're just too small for me so I've always stuck to rifles, particularly .45-70 and the like.
