Do you color on the computer? Mind explaining how you do it? I'm trying to ... Uh... Make more digital art :/ but I suck at it... Lol

I'm still trying to learn it myself which is why my digital style jumps around so much. There are a few ways I do it/have seen it done. For this picture in particular I had a background layer I set to a grey tone, a layer on top where I sketched out the lines, and then a layer beneath the lines but above the background where I manually brushed in the colors. You can actually see the beginnings of it here along with some additional tinkering:
