Gem wandered through into her parents bedroom, she wasn't looking for anyone or anything in particular she was on one of her little adventures, amusing herself. She stopped dead in her toddled tracks when she noticed her daddy laying on the bed, she looked up at the bed

"Dada?"
She mumbled through her binkie. He didnt move.

Her mama had told her that daddy had started a new job and that made him super tired but she didnt really understand what a job actually was, only that it made dada go away during the day and come back just before her bedtime.

Deciding on her course of action she tried to climb up onto the bed. It was quite high and she struggled for a number of minutes before sheer determination finally saw her up on the bed and carefully clambering over to her sleeping parent.
She watched him gently snoring, she poked him in the nose and he snuffled which caused her to giggle quietly and poke him again. He snuffled again but didnt actually wake up. She continued this game for a little while giggling at the random sleep filled mutterings and snorts he made.

She yawned and suddenly found herself feeling tired too, but before falling asleep she took her pacifier out of her mouth and tried to give it to her daddy, she wedged it into his mouth but his slack jaw just made the binkie fall right back out again. After her third attempt she realised it wasnt going to work so instead she placed her dummy on his forehead knowing that her pacifier helped her to sleep and she wanted her daddy to have the best sleep so that he could go and do his job super well in the morning.

Her mission complete she quickly succumbed to her own tiredness.
