Ooooooh, okay! Wait...isn't Bethesda that game company that tried to file a lawsuit against the guy that made...Minecraft?

Long story.

Basically, the lawyers that the minecraft guys got tried to trademark the name "Scrolls" for absolutely everything they could. Movies, games, books, etc.

Naturally, the people who have the trademark for the name "The Elder Scrolls" felt a bit threatened by how expansive the Mojang claim to the word as their trademark was, so they filed a lawsuit.

Bethesda isn't trying to bully Mojang at all, they're really just protecting their claim to their own trademark, the real fault is in the Minecraft guys signing off on their paperwork for the trademark that was way, way more expansive than they ever needed it to be without really realizing it.

haha, as soon as i read the comment about bethesda i was going to say the same thing, because ever since the minecraft incident they shine in such a bad light for cruel misunderstandings.
