Serpents are very misunderstood beings. They have a reputation for being incredibly nasty creatures and this can hide their positive qualities from narrow minded individuals. Sadly, these people will never get to know how gentle and caring these reptiles can be, nor experience the unique comfort that their encompassing hugs and tenderly constricting massages bring.

 EndlessHunter caught me completely off guard with this picture, it randomly came out of nowhere but it was certainly a pleasant surprise!

I don't think that she realises how much it meant to me, at the time I was still doing... I think it was my mental health placement? Probably but that isn't the point, it was in the middle of my mandatory work experience for university and certain things were really getting me down. Treating sick people is bad enough but psychotic, depressed and suicidal patients are far worse, it takes a special breed of person to not be affected by the gloom that breeds in that place and I am not one of them. I'll go into detail what happened during my two placements in journals some time but needless to say I was starting to feel a little depressed myself... until Rana came along.

I have no idea how long she had been working on this but her timing was perfect! I needed a pick-me-up and she gave me one in the form of a cute, colourful picture. The fact that my character was wrapped up in a huge snake-like creature's coils was the icing on the cake. Also flicky tongues FTW! :)
