I wanted a challenge to see if I'd actually learned anything in all those blender tutorial videos I've been watching. So 6 hours later...

Am I happy? Hmm. With hard surface, yes, though I may do a remodel of my old ship 'Dante' just to be sure. :)
Things I'm not happy with are the things I haven't touched yet. Colour. Rendering proper (this is a screan grab). And playing with the camera for animation. I got this far with TrueSpace before, and I'd like to do at least that well in blender:

But mostly I'm happy that I can play with an animation that will actually work on my computer! TS4.3 will technically run (glitchily) but the 16bit programme that instals it won't. Grrr! I joke about CGI comissions a few years back. Maybe this time I can make it happen.
So overall, 'not yet'. Which is probably the best answer an artist can have.
