its just in how disney draws their cubs.
If you look, the mail lions all have little bits of fur standing out on their heads, even in the presentation of simba, and Kopa at the end of TLK 1, but if you notice in TLK 2, when they present Kiara, she has a smooth head of fur, like all the females. Atleast thats my way of telling lol

I guess so, atleast thats the only difference between the males and females that I've noticed. But than again, I havent read all the stories that came after TLK 1 or what not, but, I'm also not one of those butt hurt people.... so you'd have to ask them, I only know thats where it came from
Kopa pretty infamous in the lion king fandom, he was the non-canon son of Simba in one of the spin-off storybooks for the lion king, but when lion king 2 came out they made Simba have a daughter instead which puzzled many fan about what happened to Kopa and made TONs of fan theories trying to explain his absence
It says that yes, kopa was born at the end of the first movie. This is when the followers of scar started to make themselves known and they were exiled. When Kopa became a young cub, he ran into vitani, zira's second. Zira saw that vitani was falling for an pride lander and ended up attacking kopa, which ended up killing him. Simba grief stricken, made a promise that nothing would happen to the next cub (kiara) that he and nala had. Then kovu was born and then kiara and thats where the second movie starts.
