You've heard of him, you all know the legend, now here he is: The One, The Only, Punxsutawney Phil.
A few days ago I had some time to kill in Punxsutawney and I knew he was at the library, so I drove down and decided to finally see him for myself. They have a large area for him, Walled on one side and made to look something like a forest (assuming forests are covered with wood chips), the back wall painted with a door that says "Punxsy Phil" over the top in large friendly letters, a fake tree, and a plank of wood covering an area designed to be his "burrow". He was resting in there with his mate Phyllis (no, I'm not kidding). I was angling for a good phicture when he saw me, I'm guessing recognized the camera from how many others coming out to see him, stretched and came out. Out of the pictures I took, this is about the best one of him.
