Ya, some people do. I drew some bats and made the mistake of showing it to him, and he said two things "batdogs" (when they were crossed between big-eared fledermaus townsend and fruit bat. so big ears and longer snout than some bats) and "bats are ugly, not cute, if you wanted to draw something cute, draw a cute animal not an ugly one)

But he is stupid, he also called a bat a opossum with wings, and I'm like THEY ARENT THE SAME ANIMAL OMG

Depends on species. Some of them have very strangely shaped faces covered in odd bumps, flaps and ridges that serve as ultrasonic waveguides and lenses.

If there's one thing I love about you is how you draw bats and how they wear clothes.

How does this one wear the inner shirt though? I'm guessing it's sleeveless.

I guess it's like a tabard, but I made that very non-obvious.

Hee, not at all. Lots of people seem to come to me when they have a bat they need to dress up, but I'm not laying claims to any of it. It's just clothes, after all.

Because it's a brilliant concept as very few people make Anthro bats have the membranous wings vs just wings on their back, and even fewer follow the logic in designing clothes for anthros. :)

I have a bat character that does. He wears something that resembles a loincloth secured with magnets, due both to the membranes and the difficulty of securing anything else without convenient hands. He also goes topless, and when questioned points out that 1. He has fur and 2. No-one can make a poncho look cool.

I think Unimpressive makes bats in ponchos look wonderful. :p

That and I always like Ponchos. But that's just my strange sense of taste. XD

Magnets seem to be a popular solution. They seem like kind of an uncomfortable kludge to me, personally. They must pinch something awful!

All you have to do is pad the magnets with a piece of fabric.

One is, as always, impressed.
