Our little group ended up stumbling into a Segway demonstration/ride course during our Fright Night outing - how much Segways have to do with Halloween, I'm not sure of. Regardless, the people who ran the thing were quite awesome; not only did they allow us to actually ride on the things, but they even allowed us to do it free of charge. Which I'm sure wasn't a great financial loss for them as our little spur-of-the-moment escapade ended up creating a massive queue of kids waiting to ride the gizmos themselves.

Bloody insane things, these. Riding them fights against any common sense of gravity a fox might have and the slightly disoriented feel never leaves the head. And when you think you've figured out how to move the thing forward, in come the corners and art of turning the thing.

And, to be honest, it was actually quite fun in its own low-speed way.
