Okay. So it's a married wolf and a bunny. We
all *know* what that looks like. He's got fangs,
she's got a tasty... tail.
Predator-prey marriages just have this built-in
undercurrent, don't they? Like it or not, puts a
spin on the 'till death do us part' spiel.
But then again, you have to think that they know this...

On Food (#17)
Oh sure, there’s jokes about it. Food, that is.
A wolf and bunny couple has a few.
A good one: why should a wolf shop when his
Kitchen’s already stocked? The ears: for stew.
Ha ha, you laugh. But funnier is how
She plays it up, the little bunny tease.
There’s rich fantasy found here. When I show
Off fangs I know exactly what she sees.
Then runs with it. One time barbeque sauce
Made it into the bedroom. Tasty stuff.
Willing prey. Willing predator. The loss
Of reason that follows: gleefully rough.
Real food, though--all veggie--can give me pause.

Can I point out that I'm a lioness and my mate is a fennec fox. Although technically both are a preditor animal it stikes me that my mate would also make good prey. I think that is why I enjoy your pieces featuring the rabbit and wolf. Mind you other than bbq sauce might I suggest the wolf lure his bunny lover with a lap full of strawberries and cream. I'm sure it would be an odd experience for them both have bunny eat off of the wolf. trust me it's fun. *hugs*
I'm expecting that at some point we will meet their neighbours. I
think I may be able to squeak in a cameo. Strawberries and cream optional
(but good idea; saved).
And yes, lionness and fox: I can see how the dynamic works. Who's
the top predator (or often on top) is not in question here.
Whether or not that sonnet will need to be marked adult, not sayin',
'cause dunno yet. But three fangy predators and a cute bunny? Well...
Not even gonna try to pencil in the sound FX for that one. :- )
